The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Practical Applications of Arduino Programming and Potentiometer-Based Control.”
Workshop Supervision
The workshop was conducted under the direct supervision of:
* Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Mardas
* Engineer Mohammed Abdul Karim
The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ programming and engineering skills by bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical applications in medical electronic systems.
Key Topics and Practical Applications
The workshop covered several important topics, including:
* Potentiometer Operation: Demonstrating how a variable resistor works and explaining how to read and interpret analog input signals.
* Input Value Control: Connecting the potentiometer to an Arduino programming environment and using it to control output variables.
* Results Processing and Monitoring: Implementing real-time control programs, monitoring display readings, and controlling the resulting output signals.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The workshop supports the following Sustainable Development Goals:
* SDG 4 – Quality Education: Promoting practical learning and developing students’ technical skills.
* SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Encouraging innovation and integrating modern technologies into engineering and medical applications.
