As part of its ongoing efforts to promote digital awareness and foster a culture of cybersecurity within the university community, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the Technical Engineering College of Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign entitled “The Dangers of the Digital World: Safe Use for a Better Life.” The campaign involved the participation of department students and included the distribution of educational brochures highlighting the major risks associated with digital technology and internet use, including cyberattacks, account and personal data theft, phishing, malware, identity theft, cyberbullying, and digital addiction.
The campaign also focused on raising awareness of essential preventive measures to protect users, such as creating strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, regularly updating software and applications, avoiding untrusted networks, and safeguarding personal information. This initiative is part of a series of awareness activities organized by the department to promote responsible digital behavior and encourage the safe use of technology, contributing to a more informed and secure digital society. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
