As part of its efforts to enhance digital awareness and promote the safe use of technology, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the Technical Engineering College of Al-Mustaqbal University highlights the risks of cybercrime through an educational awareness initiative. The initiative addresses the most common types of cybercrime, including phishing, identity theft, online fraud, malware, and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. It also highlights the consequences of these crimes and outlines essential preventive measures, such as using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, keeping systems updated, and avoiding suspicious links. These practices contribute to protecting data and strengthening digital security awareness among students and the wider community. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), reaffirming the university’s role in promoting knowledge and establishing safe digital practices.
