Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abd Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University held an in-person training workshop entitled “The Electronic Survey Platform at Al-Mustaqbal University.” The workshop was attended by staff members responsible for measurement and evaluation, quality assurance, and website management across the university’s colleges, departments, and units. The workshop was organized as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing institutional work mechanisms, promoting the use of digital technologies for data collection and analysis, and improving measurement and evaluation processes. These efforts contribute to supporting evidence-based decision-making and achieving continuous improvement in academic and administrative performance. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit; Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Maytham; and Assistant Lecturer Noor Thamer Mahmoud. It addressed several key topics, including the importance of surveys, the electronic survey platform at Al-Mustaqbal University, and the procedures for using the platform. The sessions also covered how to design, publish, and distribute surveys to target groups, as well as methods of analyzing results and using them to support evaluation processes and improve institutional performance. Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, opened the workshop’s academic component with an introductory presentation on surveys and their importance as essential tools for collecting data and information from target groups. He highlighted their role in identifying opinions, attitudes, and satisfaction levels, and in providing indicators that help assess performance, identify strengths, and determine opportunities for improvement. He also explained methods for analyzing survey responses and extracting statistical findings and indicators, in addition to the procedures for preparing comprehensive survey reports. These reports include presenting, discussing, and interpreting results, formulating conclusions and recommendations, and developing practical improvement measures based on available data. He emphasized the importance of these stages in supporting the university’s measurement and evaluation system, assessing the quality of educational outcomes, and enhancing the effectiveness of evidence-based development decisions. For his part, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Maytham from the Technology Incubator Department delivered a practical demonstration of Al-Mustaqbal University’s electronic survey platform. His presentation introduced the platform and explained how to use it, including the steps involved in creating electronic questionnaires, preparing questions, and organizing survey sections in accordance with measurement objectives and the needs of the target audience. He also demonstrated how to administer surveys, collect responses, and generate reports and data outputs. Furthermore, he highlighted practical features that enable users to make effective use of the platform, streamline work procedures, reduce the time and effort required to conduct surveys, improve data organization and accuracy, and facilitate the analysis and use of results in report preparation. The workshop also emphasized the importance of integrating the methodological and statistical aspects of surveys with the technological capabilities of the electronic platform. This integration ensures that the process goes beyond data collection to include analysis, interpretation, and the practical application of findings in developing recommendations, corrective measures, and improvement initiatives. It also strengthens the ability of colleges and administrative units to monitor performance indicators, measure beneficiary satisfaction, identify actual needs, and follow up on improvement plans more efficiently and effectively. The workshop targeted measurement and evaluation officers in the colleges, quality assurance officers, and authorized website administrators across the university’s colleges, departments, and units. Its objective was to enhance their skills in using the platform and standardize procedures for preparing and conducting surveys and extracting their results, thereby supporting the development of institutional practices and fostering a culture of quality and continuous evaluation throughout the university. This workshop is part of a series of training activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to develop the capabilities of its academic and administrative staff, keep pace with digital transformation in higher education, and enhance the efficiency of electronic systems supporting quality assurance and institutional accreditation. These efforts align with the university’s vision of achieving excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Al-Mustaqbal University – First Among Private Universities in Iraq.
