As part of its efforts to raise digital security awareness and promote safe technology use, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the College of Technical Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, highlights the importance of protecting digital identity through an awareness initiative entitled “Secure Digital Minds.” The initiative aims to promote good practices for safeguarding personal information and sensitive data amid the continuous increase in cyber threats. The awareness guidelines emphasize the importance of using strong, unique passwords, avoiding the sharing of sensitive information with untrusted parties, regularly updating operating systems and using security software, as well as remaining vigilant against social engineering attacks and suspicious links. They also encourage users to think carefully before clicking on any online link. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by supporting digital literacy, strengthening cybersecurity awareness, and building a more informed and secure digital society.
