The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University held a scientific seminar entitled “The Protection of Women from Violence under Legal Legislation,” delivered by Mr. Ali Hamza Namrud. The seminar addressed the importance of legal protection for women and raising awareness of their rights and dignity in light of legal legislation. The seminar discussed the main forms of violence that women may face, including physical, psychological, verbal, and economic violence, as well as their effects on individuals, families, and society. It also highlighted the role of legislation in providing protection for victims, strengthening reporting mechanisms for cases of violence, and holding perpetrators accountable in accordance with the law. The seminar further emphasized the role of educational and social institutions in promoting a culture of respect for women and advancing equality in rights, thereby contributing to reducing violence and reinforcing the principles of justice and respect within society. This seminar is part of the scientific activities organized by the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, which aim to raise legal awareness and discuss societal issues related to human rights and legal protection.
