Because the university’s mission extends beyond the walls of its classrooms, and because the greatest value of knowledge lies in the positive impact it creates in the lives of others, the Departments of Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a humanitarian visit to an orphanage for boys and girls in Babylon Governorate, reflecting the values of social solidarity, compassion, and community responsibility. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and with the support of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi. The visit was supervised by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mayada Waheed Falah, and faculty member Lina Hussein Ali, with the participation of a group of students from the college. The visit was more than a voluntary activity; it was a meaningful humanitarian experience where the spirit of giving met the innocence of childhood. Participants provided financial and emotional support to the children and shared moments of warmth, care, and kindness, embodying the true meaning of social responsibility and reflecting the college’s commitment to instilling humanitarian values in its students. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), reaffirming Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to preparing generations who not only shape the future through knowledge but also make it more compassionate through their actions. Some achievements are recorded in university records, but the most meaningful are those that leave a lasting impact on the hearts of others. Al-Mustaqbal University The First University in Iraq
