When physics meets engineering, modern medicine opens new horizons for more accurate diagnosis. In line with the vision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, second-year students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a specialized scientific seminar on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), under the supervision of Eng. Mohammed Abdul Kareem Razoqi. The seminar highlighted the physical and engineering principles underlying MRI technology, focusing on the role of magnetic fields and radiofrequency waves in producing detailed images of the body’s organs and tissues. It also emphasized the importance of MRI in supporting medical diagnosis without the use of ionizing radiation. This initiative reflects the ability of Biomedical Engineering students to transform theoretical knowledge into a scientific understanding of modern medical technologies, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education).
