As part of its efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation and integration among engineering disciplines, the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering at the College of Engineering Technology, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific visit to the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research. The visit aimed to develop students' practical skills and enhance their knowledge of modern technologies used in aviation and sustainable energy.
The visit included an applied scientific lecture delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hameed Baqir Karji, who discussed the fundamental principles of aerodynamics, highlighting the similarities between aircraft wings and wind turbine blades. He also explained how the laws of airflow and aerodynamic forces are utilized in engineering systems and the generation of clean energy.
The visit also featured a field tour of the center's laboratories, where students explored engineering equipment, technical devices, and turbines used in wind energy applications. Practical explanations were provided regarding their operating mechanisms and their importance in advancing renewable energy technologies, helping students connect theoretical concepts with real-world engineering applications.
The visit aimed to broaden the scientific horizons of students in the Department of Aviation Technology Engineering, deepen their understanding of the relationship between aviation engineering and renewable energy engineering, and emphasize the importance of applying shared engineering principles to develop innovative solutions that support environmental sustainability and keep pace with modern technological advancements.
