As part of the College of Engineering’s commitment to strengthening practical education and connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, students from the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University conducted field activities as part of the practical component of the Engineering Surveying course. These activities aimed to develop students’ technical and engineering skills while providing them with valuable hands-on experience in fieldwork.
The practical activities included the use of surveying instruments, conducting engineering measurements, and determining elevations and distances. These exercises contributed to improving students’ measurement accuracy, analytical abilities, and proficiency in using surveying equipment and technologies commonly applied in engineering projects.
The activities were conducted under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, reflecting the College administration’s commitment to enhancing practical learning environments and preparing qualified engineering graduates equipped with the scientific knowledge and technical skills required to meet labor market demands.
This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting the quality of engineering education and providing practical learning opportunities that strengthen students’ professional competencies and prepare them for successful engineering careers.
