Dr. Naseef Jassim Mohammed Abbas Al-Karaawi has recently published the second revised edition of his book, Lectures on Private International Law (2026), which provides an explanation of the provisions of Iraq’s current Nationality Law No. (26) of 2006. The book examines the key features of the current Iraqi Nationality Law in comparison with previous nationality laws, highlighting the most significant legal provisions that require legislative intervention and amendment. It also presents a number of proposals aimed at developing legislation and serving the shared interests of both the state and individuals. This publication represents a valuable academic contribution to enriching legal scholarship in the field of private international law and advancing legal research on Iraqi legislation and its development in line with contemporary legal requirements.
