The Department of Medical Physics Sciences at the College of Science, Almustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Digital Image Enhancement and Analysis Techniques” on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. in Hall 501, Humanities Building. The workshop was held as part of the department’s scientific and academic activities aimed at enhancing theoretical and practical knowledge in medical physics and modern digital technologies. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Lubna Ali Jalil, Assistant Lecturer Fatima Makki Shalaan, Assistant Lecturer Rua Rahman, and Lecturer Dr. Doaa Jaafar Fayyadh. It addressed the fundamental principles and modern techniques used to enhance and analyze digital images, as well as the importance of image processing in extracting information and data with greater accuracy and clarity. The workshop also highlighted the importance of image processing and analysis techniques in scientific and medical applications, particularly their role in improving methods of handling medical images and supporting analysis and interpretation. In addition, it introduced key digital methods used to enhance contrast and clarity, reduce image noise, and highlight important details. The workshop reflects the Department of Medical Physics Sciences’ commitment to developing scientific and technical skills and keeping pace with recent advancements in digital image processing. It also contributes to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications and strengthening the department’s educational and research environment. The activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education – SDG 4) by supporting education and training and promoting the development of technical knowledge and skills in modern scientific fields.
