As part of its participation in the activities of the Babylon International Book Fair, the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University continued to introduce visitors to the academic specialization, practical applications, and career prospects of the Department of Industrial Kidney Technologies (Dialysis). The activity was presented by Dr. Tuqa Hazim Abdullah, a faculty member, with the aim of raising community awareness of the importance of health and medical technology specializations and their role in supporting healthcare institutions.
During the activity, Dr. Tuqa Hazim Abdullah provided visitors with explanations about the department’s academic curriculum, practical training, and educational requirements. The presentation was supported by the department’s informational brochure, which highlighted the scientific knowledge and practical skills students acquire throughout their studies, as well as the career opportunities available to graduates in hospitals, dialysis centers, and specialized healthcare institutions.
The activity also emphasized the importance of practical training in preparing qualified technical personnel equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to healthcare services and support the care of patients with kidney diseases. This approach reflects the importance of integrating academic education with the practical requirements of the healthcare labor market.
The initiative aims to familiarize visitors, particularly secondary school students preparing to choose their university specializations, with the nature of the Industrial Kidney Technologies program, its academic requirements, and its future career opportunities. It also seeks to promote awareness of available educational pathways and help prospective students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening its engagement with the community, introducing its academic programs and specialized disciplines, and highlighting the role of technical education in preparing qualified personnel for the healthcare sector. The activity also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting awareness of specialized education and improving access to academic and career-related information.
