Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated its achievements in international rankings by organizing an academic event dedicated to reviewing and analyzing scientific and academic performance indicators, discussing strategies for developing international relations, strengthening competitiveness, and promoting institutional sustainability. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, alongside the University President’s Assistants, college deans, department and division directors, and a number of faculty members and university staff. In his address, the University President emphasized that the University's achievements are the result of strategic planning and collaborative institutional efforts. He praised the contributions of the academic, scientific, and administrative staff, highlighting the importance of advancing scientific research, promoting high-quality scholarly publications, expanding international partnerships, and utilizing performance indicators to support continuous improvement. The event featured specialized presentations delivered by Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs and Educational Affairs; Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and Ali Abbas Zuwain, Head of the Global Rankings Unit. Their presentations reviewed performance indicators and achievements, identified institutional strengths and opportunities for improvement, and explored mechanisms for enhancing the University's position in international rankings. The presentations highlighted several notable achievements, including Al-Mustaqbal University's first-place ranking among private universities in Iraq in the 2026 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for sustainability. The University also made its debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, placing in the 1201–1400 global band, in addition to achieving strong results in research-based and subject-specific rankings. The event concluded with an emphasis on translating analytical findings into measurable and actionable plans, strengthening coordination among the University's academic and administrative units, and expanding international academic and research cooperation.
