The world is witnessing rapid developments in the use of digital technologies in institutional management. Universities are among the institutions that need to keep pace with this transformation to enhance administrative performance efficiency and facilitate the completion of transactions.
From the perspective of public law, digital transformation in university administration is not limited to the use of electronic tools. Rather, it extends to ensuring the legality of administrative procedures, the accurate documentation of decisions, data protection, and the promotion of transparency and accountability in the performance of institutional duties.
The importance of this transformation is particularly evident in colleges of engineering, where numerous academic departments and administrative responsibilities coexist. Digital systems contribute to organizing lecture monitoring, documenting attendance, preparing statistics, and tracking performance, thereby providing accurate information to support administrative decision-making.
However, the success of digital administration requires compliance with applicable legislation, ensuring the confidentiality of information, defining access permissions to data, and safeguarding individuals’ legal rights against any infringement resulting from the use of electronic systems.
In conclusion, digital transformation represents an important opportunity to develop university administration, provided that it is accompanied by institutional planning and legal awareness. This approach achieves a balance between technological advancement and the principle of legality, contributing to the establishment of a more efficient and transparent university environment.
