Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the First Global Forum of Fourth-Generation Universities (4GU Global Forum 2026), held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on October 7–8, 2026. The forum was hosted by Eindhoven University of Technology in collaboration with Elsevier. The Dean’s participation came at the direction of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, representing Al-Mustaqbal University at this international event. The forum brought together distinguished university presidents, academic leaders, and international experts to discuss the future of higher education, the transition toward fourth-generation universities, the role of universities in leading innovation ecosystems and economic and social development, and the strengthening of partnerships with the government and industrial sectors. The forum also showcased diverse international experiences from leading universities and institutions worldwide, addressing innovation, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, measuring universities’ societal impact, and developing institutional governance and strategies. This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s membership in the international Fourth-Generation Universities Community (4GU Community) and the College of Engineering’s commitment to strengthening its international academic presence, exchanging expertise, and benefiting from global experiences to advance education, scientific research, innovation, and community service.
