As part of efforts to promote engineering awareness and highlight the role of engineering disciplines in serving society, Asst. Lecturer Lina Hussein Ali, Rapporteur of the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighted the importance of civil engineering in societal development and improving quality of life, emphasizing its vital role in building a sustainable future. The activity addressed the importance of civil engineering in the design and construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water supply networks. It also highlighted the role of civil engineering in ensuring public safety through the construction of buildings and structures capable of withstanding risks and natural disasters. Furthermore, the activity emphasized the contribution of civil engineering to supporting the national economy, promoting investment and employment opportunities, and protecting the environment through sustainable engineering solutions, waste management, and the efficient use of energy and natural resources. This activity is part of the Civil Engineering Department’s ongoing efforts at Al-Mustaqbal University to raise awareness of the importance of engineering in achieving sustainable development and preparing a generation of engineers who recognize their role in building and advancing society.
