Students of the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technology at the Technical Engineering College of Al-Mustaqbal University conducted a scientific awareness activity on Wednesday, October 14, focusing on cyber threats. The activity highlighted major digital risks, including phishing, malware, identity theft, and denial-of-service attacks. It also introduced preventive measures such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, regularly updating software, and avoiding suspicious links and attachments. The activity aimed to enhance students’ cybersecurity awareness and encourage safe digital practices, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, continues to support student-led scientific initiatives and promote cybersecurity awareness and the safe use of technology.
