As part of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application and supporting fourth-year students' graduation projects to prepare future engineers, the Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a field visit for fourth-year students to the Energy Research Center on October 12.
The visit was led by the Head of the Department, Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadim Fathi, who delivered a specialized scientific lecture and supervised an introductory workshop for the students. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the latest technologies and research trends in the energy sector, utilize them in serving graduation projects, and enhance their practical and research skills as a concrete step toward building confident engineers capable of efficiently tackling energy sector challenges.
This initiative is in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), specifically by empowering the next generation of engineers and supporting research and innovation aimed at developing the sustainable energy sector. It also aligns with Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting creative applied education that connects classrooms with fieldwork to create real opportunities that serve the community and achieve sustainable development.
