The Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the 2026–2027 academic year with a meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Academic Supervision. The meeting was attended by the directors and staff of the Departments of Scientific Affairs, Cultural Relations, Quality Assurance and Accreditation, and Science and Technology Parks, in addition to representatives of the Sustainability and International Rankings Divisions. Discussions focused on scientific and academic plans and identifying priorities for the upcoming phase. The meeting addressed an evaluation of the programs and activities implemented during the previous academic year and reviewed achievement levels in coordination with the colleges’ deanships, contributing to institutional performance development and the enhancement of educational and research outcomes. Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi emphasized the importance of directing scientific research towards applied fields that help address real-world challenges, encouraging publication in high-impact international journals, promoting researchers’ participation in international research groups, and leveraging academic partnerships to produce joint research with scientific and economic impact. The meeting also discussed the development of the University’s scientific journals and the completion of the requirements for their inclusion in international indexing databases. Other priorities included activating agreements and memoranda of understanding through joint academic and research programs and projects, as well as strengthening participation in scientific conferences and workshops. The attendees reviewed the outcomes of the University delegation’s recent visit to several Jordanian universities and the opportunities it created to expand cooperation in academic program development, student and academic training and exchange, collaborative scientific research, quality assurance and accreditation, and the advancement of educational and laboratory environments. The meeting further addressed strengthening the University’s presence in national and international rankings, supporting sustainable development initiatives, and completing the requirements for institutional and programmatic accreditation, thereby enhancing its competitiveness and academic standing. These efforts align with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of consolidating academic excellence, advancing scientific research, expanding international partnerships, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They further support the University’s pursuit of academic leadership and its ambition to build a sustainable university with a meaningful scientific and societal impact.
