As part of efforts to enhance environmental awareness and embed the values ​​of sustainable development, the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Science organized a distinctive field-based awareness campaign titled "Eco-Friendly Technology." On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, informational and educational brochures highlighting "green" technologies were distributed throughout the university’s corridors and courtyards. The event was made possible through the active participation and efforts of the Department Coordinator, Assistant Lecturer Samar Hussein Hilal, and the Student Activities Coordinator, Assistant Lecturer Aya Mohammed Hussein. They were joined by faculty members and students from the department, who engaged enthusiastically with students from other colleges, raising awareness about the importance of environmental preservation through technological solutions. The educational materials focused on the pivotal role that artificial intelligence and advanced software solutions play in optimizing digital resources, improving energy efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. The campaign also addressed ways to mitigate electronic waste, aiming to foster a conscious university community aligned with global sustainable development standards. This initiative reflects the university’s steadfast academic and social vision—harnessing technology to serve both humanity and the environment.
