On the sidelines of his participation in the General Assembly of the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED 2026), the President of Almustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, toured the historic building of the University of Barcelona, exploring its academic, architectural, and artistic heritage. The tour included visits to historic halls and corridors, where he viewed commemorative plaques and stone inscriptions documenting the university’s development, alongside artworks, oil paintings, and statues reflecting aspects of Catalonia’s cultural identity. The visit highlighted the importance of preserving university heritage as part of academic and cultural memory, connecting new generations with the history of their institutions and their contributions to education, scientific research, and the arts. Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi emphasized the importance of learning from international university experiences that combine tradition with progress.
