Al-Mustaqbal University Launches New Academic Year with Ambitious Plans to Boost Scientific Research and International Partnerships The Scientific and Academic Supervision Office at Al-Mustaqbal University inaugurated the 2026–2027 academic year with a meeting chaired by the Director of Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi. The meeting was attended by directors and staff from the departments of Scientific Affairs, Cultural Relations, Quality Assurance and Accreditation, and Science and Technology Parks, as well as the Sustainability and International Rankings units. Discussions focused on evaluating the scientific and academic plans and programs achieved over the past year and setting priorities for the upcoming phase in coordination with college deanships, with the aim of enhancing performance quality and elevating the university's outputs. Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi emphasized the importance of directing scientific research toward applied fields capable of addressing real-world challenges. He also highlighted the need to encourage publication in high-impact international journals, join international research groups, and leverage academic partnerships to produce collaborative research with significant scientific and economic impact. Furthermore, the meeting underscored the importance of active participation in scientific conferences and workshops, upgrading university-issued journals and meeting the requirements for their inclusion in global databases, and evaluating and activating agreements and memoranda of understanding through joint academic and research programs and projects. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the recent visit by a delegation from Future University to several Jordanian universities. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in areas such as academic program development, training and short-term programs, student and faculty exchanges, joint scientific research, and quality assurance and accreditation, as well as leveraging institutional expertise and enhancing educational and laboratory environments. The meeting also explored ways to boost the university’s standing in local and international rankings, support sustainable development initiatives, and fulfill institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements—all aimed at strengthening Future University’s competitiveness and academic presence both locally and globally. These steps align with the university’s strategic direction for the upcoming academic year, which prioritizes institutional planning, academic excellence, impactful scientific research, and effective international partnerships, in support of its journey toward becoming a sustainable, world-class university.
