College of Engineering Council Holds Its Second Meeting for the 2026–2027 Academic Year to Discuss Key Academic and Administrative Matters

The College of Engineering Council at Al-Mustaqbal University held its second meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, and attended by Council members. The meeting addressed several important matters related to the educational, academic, and administrative processes across the College’s departments. The Council reviewed the latest directives issued by the Ministry and the University and discussed student affairs, the SIS system, graduation projects, second-round examination results, and graduation orders. Scientific affairs were also discussed, including academic promotions, curriculum updates, twinning agreements, program quality and accreditation, the research plan, academic activities, and the College website. The Council also considered ways to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation with local and international universities and institutions, preparations for the College’s conference, and plans to promote its academic departments. Other topics included the formation of specialized councils and student clubs, as well as several administrative and legal matters. During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of directly following up on the implementation of the Council’s decisions, improving academic and administrative performance, and working as a team to develop the College environment and meet the requirements of quality and institutional excellence. The meeting aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
