On Monday, October 5, 2026, the laboratories of the Artificial Intelligence Sciences Department at the College of Science hosted a practical session for the "Neural Computing" course for third-year students. The session was supervised by the course instructor, Dr. Abdul-Kadhim Abdul-Karim, with the assistance of Teaching Assistant Noor Hassan Obeid. The session featured the practical application of fundamental concepts regarding Artificial Neural Networks. Students implemented algorithmic models, trained them to process and analyze data, and traced the mechanisms of input signal transmission, weight updates, and bias adjustments. These practical exercises aim to enhance students' programming proficiency and establish a solid foundation in deep learning algorithms—the core of modern artificial intelligence applications. This academic activity reflects the department's commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with intensive practical training, thereby preparing specialized professionals capable of working with advanced intelligent systems.
