On Monday, October 5, 2026, the laboratories of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the College of Science hosted a practical session on "Computer Graphics" for third-year students. The session was supervised by the course instructor, Aya Mohammed Hussein, and attended by teaching assistant Noor Hassan Obeid. The practical class focused on the functions of arrays and matrices and their pivotal role in processing graphical data; students engaged in programming exercises that involved using matrices to calculate geometric transformations—such as rotation, translation, and scaling—and managing pixel grids to construct shapes and computer graphics. The instructor emphasized that mastering matrix operations serves as the fundamental basis for understanding image processing and computer vision techniques, which represent key areas of application for Artificial Intelligence students.
