Interactive Lecture Enhances Students’ Project Skills and Opportunities for Successful Funding

Prof. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed Khafaji held an interactive lecture on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Technical Engineering Building of Al-Mustaqbal University, entitled “The Role of Projects in Enhancing Students’ Skills and Securing Successful Funding – 10 Inspiring Questions to Redefine Student Projects and Funding Opportunities.” The lecture was attended by the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, along with faculty members and students from all departments of the Technical Engineering College, including the Department of Aviation Engineering Technologies, as part of ongoing efforts to develop students’ academic and practical skills. The lecture addressed a range of interactive topics focusing on the importance of projects in developing students’ skills, ways of transforming innovative ideas into feasible projects, and approaches that can enhance opportunities for securing successful funding. It also featured 10 inspiring questions designed to encourage students to reconsider their projects from a more innovative perspective and explore potential funding opportunities. The lecture aimed to develop students’ project-planning skills, introduce mechanisms for transforming ideas into feasible projects, and enhance their ability to identify and secure appropriate funding opportunities. These objectives contribute to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship while strengthening the connection between academic knowledge and practical application. This activity reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to providing an educational environment that encourages creativity and innovation, supports students in developing their skills, and enables them to build future-oriented projects aligned with labor market needs and community service.
