Amid the rapid development of medical and digital technologies, digital health has emerged as one of the leading modern fields reshaping the future of healthcare services by integrating advanced technologies with medical sciences to provide more efficient, accurate, and timely care. Digital health relies on the use of information and communication technologies to improve the quality of healthcare services and patient care. It includes smartphone applications, electronic health platforms, wearable devices, as well as artificial intelligence technologies and health data analytics. The importance of digital health is highlighted by its ability to continuously collect and analyze health data in real time. This enables the early detection of health indicators and supports more accurate and timely medical decision-making. It also facilitates patients’ access to healthcare services, particularly in remote areas and regions with limited healthcare infrastructure. Digital technologies have also enabled patients to continuously monitor their health through applications and devices capable of measuring various vital signs, such as blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and heart rate. This enhances patient participation in managing their health and promotes greater awareness and self-monitoring. Telemedicine is one of the most prominent applications of digital health, allowing patients to communicate and consult with medical specialists without the need for direct visits to healthcare institutions. This contributes to saving time and effort, reducing pressure on medical services, and expanding access to healthcare. Despite the significant benefits offered by digital health, its implementation faces several challenges, most notably protecting patient privacy and securing health data, ensuring the safe and responsible use of digital technologies, and promoting equitable access to modern healthcare technologies and services. These developments demonstrate that the future of healthcare is increasingly moving toward an integrated digital system that combines medicine, technology, and artificial intelligence. Digital health is therefore becoming one of the most important pathways for medical innovation in the twenty-first century and a key driver in developing more sustainable, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services.
