As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing students’ practical skills and connecting academic knowledge with rapidly evolving technological developments, students from the Department of Cybersecurity Technology Engineering at the Technical Engineering College participated in a scientific visit to the International Information and Communications Technology Exhibition and Conference (ITEX IRAQ 2026), held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds. The visit was carried out in accordance with the directives of the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of the Technical Engineering College, represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and in response to the official invitation extended by Amwaj Technology Company for Trading, General Contracting, and Telecommunications and Internet Services. The students were accompanied during the visit by the Department Rapporteur, Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Hassan, who supported the students as they explored a range of the latest digital technologies and solutions in the fields of information and communications technology, Internet and telecommunications networks, and digital infrastructure, as well as the latest developments taking place in the technology sector. The visit represented a valuable academic opportunity for the department’s students to explore practical applications of modern technologies and deepen their understanding of fields related to their specialization, particularly the protection of systems and digital infrastructures and the challenges associated with digital transformation. The visit also contributed to broadening the students’ academic and professional perspectives by providing opportunities to communicate directly with specialized companies and experts, while gaining insight into labor-market requirements and the skills needed by modern technology sectors.
