Al-Mustaqbal University’s College of Health and Medical Technologies Organizes Scientific Workshop on Frozen Shoulder

The College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific and practical workshop entitled “Frozen Shoulder – Adhesive Capsulitis,” presented by Mr. Hisham Maher Mohammed, with the aim of enhancing the scientific knowledge and practical skills of students and participants in the fields of physical therapy and medical rehabilitation. The workshop addressed the concept of Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis), its main causes and associated risk factors, as well as its clinical signs, symptoms, and stages. Particular emphasis was placed on its impact on range of motion and the patient’s functional performance. The workshop also included an overview of clinical examination and assessment methods, covering pain assessment, range of motion, muscle strength, and functional capacity, in addition to introducing the key clinical tests used to evaluate shoulder conditions. Furthermore, the workshop discussed the principles of physical therapy and rehabilitation across the different stages of the condition, highlighting the role of therapeutic exercises, range-of-motion exercises, stretching and strengthening exercises, as well as selected supportive therapeutic techniques that may be applied according to the patient’s condition and stage of rehabilitation. The workshop forms part of the College of Health and Medical Technologies’ ongoing efforts to strengthen practical education, connect theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, and develop students’ professional competencies.
