The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, accompanied by the Scientific Assistant, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, and the accompanying delegation, attended the ministerial meeting held on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026, to discuss admission mechanisms for private universities and colleges. The meeting focused on following up on admission procedures and strengthening coordination between private higher education institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahad, in the presence of several Directors General at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as presidents of private universities and colleges and directors of their Registration Departments.
The meeting addressed several topics related to approved admission procedures and the organizational and technical aspects associated with application and registration processes. It also discussed the requirements governing the work of private universities and colleges in accordance with the applicable ministerial regulations and instructions, contributing to the organization and facilitation of admission procedures in line with the approved frameworks.
The meeting also included a discussion of several inquiries and observations concerning admission mechanisms and their implementation procedures. The necessary clarifications were provided, and technical and organizational aspects were addressed, contributing to greater clarity and standardization of procedures among private higher education institutions.
The participation of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University in the meeting reflects the University’s commitment to following up on ministerial developments related to the educational process and adhering to approved regulations and instructions, thereby ensuring smooth admission and registration procedures and supporting students.
