Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, extended his highest congratulations and blessings to all university staff, including faculty members, researchers, and employees, on the occasion of the University’s outstanding academic achievement of entering the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE World University Rankings 2027) for the first time.
On this occasion, the University President congratulated all members of the Al-Mustaqbal University community on this distinguished academic achievement, emphasizing that the University’s first-ever entry into the global ranking, achieving second place among Iraqi universities after the University of Technology and first place among private universities in Iraq, within the 1201–1400 global band, represents an important milestone in the University’s academic and research journey.
Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi noted that this achievement, which places Al-Mustaqbal University among the top 1,600 universities worldwide, reflects the continuous efforts made by the University’s staff in education, scientific research, innovation, and institutional development. It also demonstrates the University’s ability to compete at the international academic level.
The University President expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to all faculty members, researchers, employees, and students for their dedicated efforts and continuous work, which contributed to achieving this accomplishment. He praised the spirit of cooperation and institutional teamwork that has strengthened Al-Mustaqbal University’s position and enhanced its presence in international rankings.
He further emphasized that this achievement marks the beginning of a new journey toward attaining more advanced positions in international rankings and continuing efforts to improve the quality of education and scientific research and strengthen international partnerships, in line with the University’s vision and future aspirations.
