On the morning of Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi—accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, and an accompanying delegation—attended a ministerial meeting dedicated to discussing admission mechanisms for private universities and colleges. The meeting was chaired by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahad, and was attended by Directors General from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presidents of private universities and colleges, and heads of their respective registration departments. Discussions focused on approved admission procedures and the organizational and technical aspects of the application and registration processes, as well as operational requirements for private universities and colleges in light of current ministerial regulations and guidelines. The meeting also provided an opportunity to raise inquiries and observations regarding admission procedures and their implementation mechanisms; relevant technical and organizational points were clarified and addressed to ensure a clear understanding of approved protocols and to standardize operational procedures across private higher education institutions.
