The Department of Medical Rehabilitation Techniques and Physical Therapy organized an applied scientific workshop entitled “Frozen Shoulder – Adhesive Capsulitis,” presented by Mr. Hisham Maher Mohammed, with the aim of enhancing the scientific knowledge and practical skills of students and participants in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation. The workshop addressed the concept of frozen shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis), its main causes and associated risk factors, as well as its signs, symptoms, and clinical stages, with a focus on its impact on the patient’s range of motion and functional performance. The workshop also included an explanation of clinical examination and assessment methods, including the evaluation of pain, range of motion, muscle strength, and functional ability, in addition to identifying the key clinical tests used to assess shoulder conditions. The workshop further discussed the principles of physical therapy and rehabilitation at different stages, highlighting the role of therapeutic exercises, range-of-motion exercises, stretching and strengthening exercises, as well as selected supportive therapeutic techniques that may be applied according to the patient’s condition and stage of rehabilitation.
