University of Al-Mustaqbal has achieved a new academic and environmental milestone by advancing to 148th place globally in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, reflecting the university’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the development of an integrated campus environment. The university ranked first among private universities and colleges in Iraq and third among all Iraqi public and private universities. It also ranked 82nd in Asia, with a total score of 8,475 points, competing among 2,016 universities from 110 countries worldwide. This achievement is the result of the university’s efforts to implement sustainable development programs and initiatives, particularly in the areas of energy and climate change, waste and water resource management, sustainable transportation, infrastructure, education and research, and digital transformation.
