Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic and environmental milestone by advancing to 148th place globally in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, further strengthening its international presence and commitment to sustainability and sustainable development. The University ranked first among Iraqi private universities and colleges, third among all Iraqi universities, both public and private, and 82nd in Asia, achieving a total score of 8,475 points in a global competition involving 2,016 universities from 110 countries worldwide. This achievement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s continued commitment to integrating sustainability principles across its academic and institutional practices. Its efforts encompass sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency and climate action, waste management, water resources, sustainable transportation, education and research, as well as governance and digital transformation. This significant progress reaffirms Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to establish a sustainable and innovative university environment that integrates education, research, and environmental responsibility. It also strengthens the University’s position in international academic rankings and reflects its vision embodied in the motto: “Sustainability in Practice, Innovation with Impact, Global Progress.”
