Hassan Saad Miri, a student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences at the College of Science, Almustaqbal University, has achieved an outstanding sporting accomplishment by securing second place in Asia and the silver medal at the Asian Powerlifting Championship. The achievement came during his participation with the Iraqi National Powerlifting Team in the Equipped Bench Press competition for the Junior category, in the 74 kg weight class, where he successfully lifted 120 kg, earning second place in a competition that featured athletes from several Asian countries. This achievement reflects the diverse talents and capabilities of the College of Science students, which extend beyond academic and scientific excellence to include sports and international competitions. It also highlights the presence of the University and its students across various fields and international platforms. On this occasion, the Deanship of the College of Science, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College, extends its warmest congratulations to student Hassan Saad Miri, expressing its pride in this distinguished sporting achievement and commending his determination, perseverance, and competitive spirit in representing Iraq and the University honorably.
