As part of the scientific and technical follow-up of specialized activities and projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence, a Ministerial Committee conducted a field visit to Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University to review the latest technologies, projects, and activities carried out by the Center, as well as to follow up on its scientific and practical areas and the Ministry’s requirements and directives related to advancing Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation. The committee was received by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Mehdi Abadi Manaa, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, along with a number of the Center’s staff members. The University President welcomed the committee members, emphasizing the importance of such field visits in strengthening communication and coordination between the University and the Ministry, as well as in reviewing scientific and technical work in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. During the visit, the committee reviewed the Center’s prominent technologies, applied projects, and scientific initiatives, in addition to its research and training activities and its efforts to employ Artificial Intelligence in supporting education, scientific research, and the community. The visit also included discussions on work requirements and mechanisms for developing future programs and projects. Professor Dr. Mehdi Abadi Manaa, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, presented an overview of the Center’s activities and achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence, highlighting its future directions aimed at expanding applied projects, supporting researchers and students, and developing innovative technological solutions that contribute to addressing real-world challenges and strengthening the role of Artificial Intelligence across academic and community fields. The visit also included discussions on several key areas related to developing the Center’s technological infrastructure, enhancing scientific and research activities, activating applied projects, and following up on the requirements and standards adopted by the Ministry. These efforts contribute to improving the Center’s institutional and scientific performance and keeping pace with the rapid developments in Artificial Intelligence technologies. The visit reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening its role in innovation, digital transformation, and Artificial Intelligence, while supporting its specialized scientific centers and enhancing their capacity to keep pace with modern technological developments and contribute to building an academic environment based on research, development, and practical application.
