Digital health is driving a rapid transformation in the way healthcare is delivered by integrating modern technologies with medical sciences to provide more efficient and accurate services and enhance healthcare institutions’ ability to respond effectively to patients’ needs and monitor their conditions. Digital health refers to the use of information and communication technologies to improve health and patient care. It encompasses a wide range of applications, including smartphone applications, electronic health platforms, wearable devices, and artificial intelligence technologies, opening new horizons for developing medical services and improving their quality. One of the key advantages of digital health is its ability to continuously collect and analyze health data, helping to identify health indicators at an early stage and supporting faster and more accurate medical decision-making. Digital technologies also help expand access to healthcare services, particularly in remote areas and communities facing healthcare infrastructure challenges. At the same time, smart applications and devices enable patients to monitor various health indicators independently, such as blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and heart rate. This contributes to greater health awareness and supports continuous monitoring of health conditions. Telemedicine is also one of the most prominent applications of digital health, allowing patients to communicate with physicians and receive medical consultations remotely, thereby reducing the need for some in-person visits and saving time and effort. Despite the significant potential offered by digital health, its growing use presents several challenges, particularly regarding privacy protection, healthcare data security, responsible use of technology, and ensuring equitable access to digital services. Therefore, establishing clear legal, ethical, and technical frameworks is essential to protect patients’ data and strengthen trust in digital healthcare applications. Digital health continues to establish itself as one of the most prominent fields of medical innovation in the twenty-first century, offering significant opportunities to advance healthcare, improve the patient experience, and support the transition toward more integrated healthcare systems capable of responding to rapid technological developments.
