On Thursday, September 24, 2026, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, received the Head of the Academics Syndicate in Babylon Governorate, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, at the University’s headquarters. The meeting was held as part of efforts to strengthen institutional communication and expand areas of cooperation between the University and the Academics Syndicate in support of the academic community and joint initiatives. The University President welcomed the guest, commending his continued efforts to strengthen communication with academic institutions in Babylon Governorate. He also praised the role of the Academics Syndicate in following up on academics’ concerns and advocating for their rights, while enhancing their presence within educational and academic institutions. For his part, the Head of the Academics Syndicate in Babylon expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality, praising the openness and cooperation demonstrated by Al-Mustaqbal University towards the Syndicate. He emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and coordination between the two sides in ways that support academics and contribute to strengthening the academic working environment in the governorate. The meeting addressed several areas of cooperation that have witnessed practical developments in recent period, most notably the establishment of an office for the Academics Syndicate within Al-Mustaqbal University, in addition to providing employment opportunities for university affiliates through the Syndicate’s platform.
