Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, attended the launch of and ceremony honoring the winners of the “National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications,” held at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Mousawi, along with the Ministry’s Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad. Al-Mustaqbal University participated by sponsoring the Medical Track, one of the championship’s seven tracks, and contributed to providing financial and honorary awards to innovative students to help fund their projects and transform them into practical applications. The Minister of Higher Education emphasized the importance of transferring knowledge from laboratories into real-world applications, noting that artificial intelligence and robotic systems have become fundamental pillars in the future development of the healthcare and economic sectors. The attendees also toured the exhibition of students’ innovative prototypes, while the ceremony featured documentary presentations showcasing the various stages of the championship and its promising projects. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation and sponsorship of this national championship reflect its strong commitment to embracing innovation, supporting young student talent, and directing research in artificial intelligence and medical technologies toward practical solutions that contribute to serving society and meeting the demands of the future labor market.
