Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new milestone in the field of university sustainability, ranking first among private universities in Iraq and third among Iraqi universities, both public and private, according to the results of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. This achievement reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability principles and implement them across various academic, administrative, and environmental fields, while advancing the transition toward a smart and sustainable university environment, in line with its vision: “Towards a Sustainable University.” On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, congratulated the University’s faculty members, staff, and students on this distinguished achievement, praising their efforts and dedication. He emphasized that this progress is the result of joint institutional work and a strong spirit of teamwork. He also affirmed that this achievement represents a motivation to continue developing sustainability initiatives, strengthening the University’s position, and consolidating its role as an Iraqi academic model that integrates education, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
