The meeting addressed several key topics, focusing on preparations for the new academic year and ensuring the necessary academic, technical, and administrative requirements to support the quality of the educational process and provide an educational environment that meets the needs of students and teaching staff. The meeting discussed activating the academic role of the Syndicate by exploring ways to involve it effectively in the College’s Advisory Council and expert committees, while benefiting from academic expertise in developing curricula and updating study plans in line with scientific and technological developments. The two sides also discussed strengthening engagement with the labor market by expanding partnerships with local institutions, companies, and the private sector. This would contribute to aligning the outcomes of technical and engineering education with labor market requirements and supporting training and practical qualification opportunities for students and graduates. The meeting also highlighted the importance of organizing joint scientific activities, workshops, and seminars that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their practical capabilities, in addition to serving the community and supporting state institutions through academic and specialized expertise. The meeting further emphasized the importance of supporting teaching staff, protecting academics’ rights, and encouraging their scientific and research output, thereby strengthening the academic environment and supporting research and innovation. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continued coordination, cooperation, and joint field work to contribute to developing the educational process, enhancing academic performance, and preparing graduates with the knowledge and skills that meet labor market requirements. These efforts are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
