The scientific departments of the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University reviewed their academic, scientific, and administrative plans for the 2026/2027 academic year during a meeting held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in the Activities Hall of the Engineering Building, chaired by Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, as part of the ongoing series of preparatory meetings ahead of the start of the new academic year. The meeting included the Department of Construction and Building Techniques Engineering, Department of Artificial Intelligence Techniques Engineering, Department of Communications Techniques Engineering, and Department of Cybersecurity Techniques Engineering. The departments reviewed their teaching preparations and scientific and research plans, in addition to course and staff allocations, student activities, training and development programs, and mechanisms for enhancing the practical and applied aspects of students’ education. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd discussed the proposed plans with representatives of the departments, emphasizing the importance of basing departmental plans on clear objectives that are measurable and achievable, while adopting performance indicators and targeted outcomes that contribute to improving academic and administrative performance and enhancing the quality of the educational process. The Dean also stressed the need to maintain continuous coordination between the College Dean’s Office and the scientific departments and to complete all academic, technical, and administrative requirements before the start of the academic year. This would strengthen the College’s readiness and provide an educational environment that keeps pace with rapid developments in engineering and technological fields. These meetings are part of the preparatory program of the College of Engineering Technology for the 2026/2027 academic year, aiming to unify visions and integrate efforts among the scientific departments while supporting applied education, scientific research, and innovation in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Al-Mustaqbal University continues its efforts to develop its educational system and strengthen an environment that supports innovation and scientific research, contributing to building students’ capabilities and reinforcing the requirements of quality and excellence in higher education.
