Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the new academic year 2026–2027 on Saturday, 20 September 2026, with a ceremony to raise the Iraqi flag, coinciding with the launch of the academic year in accordance with the schedule approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ceremony reflected a strong sense of national pride, belonging, and commitment within the university campus. The ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, along with the Scientific and Administrative Assistant Presidents and the Director of the University Affairs Department, as well as the Deans and Associate Deans of the University’s colleges, in addition to a number of faculty members and administrative staff. The event created a distinguished national and academic atmosphere, highlighting the importance of national identity, responsibility, and discipline within the university environment. The Iraqi flag-raising ceremony was held in accordance with the Ministry’s directives for the opening of the new academic year, reflecting the University’s commitment to promoting the values of citizenship, belonging, and national awareness, while strengthening the spirit of responsibility and commitment among its students and staff, in line with its academic and community mission. The Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team carried out the flag-raising ceremony under the supervision of the Scout Activities Division at the Central Student Activities Department, in an atmosphere characterized by discipline and organization. The ceremony reflected the University’s readiness to embark on a new academic year and continue its journey of education, excellence, and community service.
