Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the new academic year 2026–2027 today, Sunday, September 20, 2026, by holding the Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, in line with the ministerial schedule approved for the commencement of the new academic year. The ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, along with the Scientific and Administrative Assistants and the Director of the Department of Diwan Affairs, as well as the deans and assistant deans of the colleges, in addition to a distinguished group of faculty members and staff. The ceremony reflected pride in national identity and a spirit of commitment and discipline within the university environment. The ceremony was held in accordance with the ministerial directives for the opening of the academic year, reinforcing the values of citizenship, belonging, and national awareness among the university’s students, while emphasizing the importance of beginning the academic year with a spirit of responsibility and dedication.
