Al-Mustaqbal University officially commenced the 2026–2027 academic year on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, in accordance with the official academic calendar approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, along with the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of the University Affairs Department, Deans and Associate Deans of the Colleges, as well as a distinguished group of faculty members and administrative staff. The ceremony reflected the University community’s pride in national identity, commitment, discipline, and sense of responsibility, marking the beginning of a new academic year in an atmosphere characterized by unity and dedication. The flag-raising ceremony was held in accordance with the ministerial directives for the opening of the new academic year, contributing to the promotion of citizenship, belonging, national awareness, and social responsibility among University students and members of the academic community. The Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team conducted the ceremony under the supervision of the Scouting Activities Division of the Central Student Activities Department, creating a distinguished academic and patriotic atmosphere that reflected the University’s readiness to embark on a new academic year filled with knowledge, academic excellence, achievement, and innovation.
