Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the 2026–2027 academic year today, Sunday, September 20, 2026, with an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, in accordance with the ministerial schedule approved for the beginning of the new academic year. The ceremony reflected the university’s readiness to embark on a new academic year characterized by commitment and discipline. The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the Scientific and Administrative Assistant Presidents, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, as well as college deans and their assistants, alongside a group of faculty members and staff. The event reflected a strong sense of national identity and reinforced the values of citizenship, belonging, and national awareness within the university environment. The ceremony was held in accordance with the ministerial directives for the opening of the academic year and as part of the university’s commitment to fostering a spirit of responsibility and dedication among its students, preparing them for a new academic journey founded on knowledge, commitment, and excellence. The Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team conducted the flag-raising ceremony under the supervision of the Scout Activities Division at the Central Student Activities Department. The ceremony took place in an academic and patriotic atmosphere, reflecting the university’s readiness to begin a new year filled with educational and student activities. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting an educational environment that promotes values, responsibility, and awareness among students. It also reflects the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, in fostering an effective university environment that supports education and sustainable community development.
