The College of Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University participated on Sunday, 20 September 2026, in the Iraqi flag-raising ceremony held by the university to mark the launch of the new academic year 2026–2027, in line with the approved ministerial timings for the start of the academic year. The ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, and the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, alongside the deans of the colleges and their assistants and a number of faculty members and staff. The College of Arts was represented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Maitham Abdul-Khadhim Jabbar, in an academic and patriotic atmosphere that reflected pride in national identity and a spirit of commitment and university discipline. The Iraqi flag-raising ceremony affirms the importance of beginning the academic year in a spirit of responsibility and national belonging, and of strengthening the values of citizenship and national awareness among students, thereby helping to entrench a university environment supportive of knowledge, learning, and excellence. The Al-Mustaqbal University scout team carried out the flag-raising ceremony, under the supervision of the Scouting Activities Division of the Central Student Activities Department, in an atmosphere that embodied readiness for the launch of a new academic year, in which the university and its colleges look forward to continuing their academic and scientific journey and achieving further excellence and accomplishment. Al-Mustaqbal University is first among private universities.
