Al-Mustaqbal University opened the 2026–2027 academic year today, Sunday, September 20, 2026, by holding the Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, marking the beginning of a new academic year in accordance with the Ministry-approved schedule for the commencement of the new academic year. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the University Assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of the Office Affairs Department, as well as college deans and their assistants, alongside a distinguished group of faculty members and staff. The ceremony reflected a strong sense of national identity and institutional commitment within the university environment. The ceremony included the raising of the Iraqi flag in accordance with the approved procedures, with the participation of the Al-Mustaqbal University Scout Team, under the supervision of the Scout Activities Division of the Central Student Activities Department. The event was held in an atmosphere that reflected the values of discipline, responsibility, and national belonging as the new academic year got underway. The initiative comes within the framework of the ministerial directives for the opening of the academic year and reflects the University’s commitment to fostering the values of citizenship and national awareness among its students, while strengthening the presence of national values within university life and contributing to an academic environment that promotes learning, excellence, and responsibility.
